One such attack comes from an ego-destructive superego, an agency of the mind, an internal object of sorts, that violently opposes the ego and its functions. After World War I, Bion studied history at The Queen's College, Oxford, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1922, before studying medicine at University College London.
