The problem I am facing is that the object.location value does not change after simulating. I can see that the objects did move in 3d view. Made sure the collision shape was "mesh" and made it a passive rigid body. So there was a ramp for the ball to roll down. It actually worked pretty good I think, so it might be an easy solution.
