WebReal DBT helped me get stable enough to then do treatment for CPTSD. I found DBT cold and condescending and also very helpful. In my experience, DBT was not a place to delve into or work through my trauma. It was a place to get my emotions regulated enough and my self harm behaviors calm enough to be able to do trauma work.
