Web30 mar 2024 · After 60 miles, got two codes: P0440 EVAP leak and P0420 CAT efficiency. Found some sand in the connection near the EVAP purge solenoid. Decided to replace ESID pump, purge solenoid, and canister, and blow the lines out. Also cleaned the K&N air filter. Went 25 miles, and got a P0406 - EGR voltage too high. I replaced the EGR, bolt behind alternator is a bear and cut off 3/8" to reinstall, with a code reset with the BlueDriver scanner and code returned in two weeks.
Web8 feb 2014 · 404, its under warantty the 8 year smog. this is EGR failure. and is NOX smog rules. and is in warranty. all cars . for 8 years.80k or 15/150k, depend on car. but whichever first occurs so if over 80k do say so. the EGR can fail for many reasons. carbon blockage ro the $100 valve is bad. remove valve and clean it.
